The first round of the launch of 5 Seed Grants for organizations or groups of women

At the Social Center in Roskovec, the Gender Alliance for Development Center (GADC) organized the first round of the launch of 5 Seed Grants for women’s organizations/groups.

The regional project, “Women’s Access to Employment,” comes as a collaboration between Democracy for Development (D4D), Kosovo, and the Gender Alliance for Development Center (GADC), Albania. This project is supported by the Norwegian Embassy in Pristina.

The 5 grant winners are:

  • “Capacity building of women and girls in the artisanal production of soap in the municipality of Ura Vajgurore,” by the Arsis Social Initiative.
  •  “The Empowerment of Women in the Administrative Unit of Luf-Qerret” by 5 women farmers in Puka.
  •  “Rehabilitation of Damaged Pieces of Traditional Clothing in the Area,” by Dake Gjoni.
  •  “Roskovec Embroidery” by “Woman, Community, Environment.”
  • “The Inclusion of Patos Women,” by the Center for Labor Rights, Tirana.

This activity was greeted by the Norwegian Ambassador to Kosovo and Albania, Ambassador SH.T Ambassador for Strand Sjaastas and the Mayor of Roskovec, Mrs. Majlinda Bufi. All winders took part in the activity, as well as women from the municipality of Roskovec.
