Event: "Handicrafts: A Road towards Women’s Economic Empowerment"

On December, 12, Gender Alliance for Development Center (GADC) organized the event "Handicrafts: A Road towards Women’s Economic Empowerment" in Tirana.

Our project: A step towards the future!
This activity was organized as part of the project “Leaving the past behind: Building resilience to violent extremism through support and education”, supported by GCERF (Global Community Engagement and Resilience Fund) in partnership with the Counselling Line for Women and Girls and the national Center for Countering Violent Extremism (CVE Albania).

Results and shared experiences:
We presented the results and methodology for women’s and girls’ economic empowerment.
We discussed experiences and challenges from the rehabilitation and reintegration process.

We exhibited handmade products created by the women beneficiaries, evaluated by a jury consisting of the trainers who lead them during the year. We also handed out certificates to celebrate their achievements.

We are especially grateful to the participants who contributed with thoughts and encouragement for the women towards a sustainable future!
