Social Mentoring for Work Integration of Disadvantaged Groups - Orientation Workshop for Mentors

12-14 October, 2023

The challenges faced by marginalized groups and our returning Albanian emigrants are significant. They face joblessness, isolation, and discrimination, and women and girls bear the brunt of these struggles.

It's a deeply emotional journey for them, trying to reintegrate into society, facing gender-based discrimination, and lacking access to employment.

At GADC, we believe in real solutions. That's why we're excited to announce the start of a special program to prepare Social Mentors. The group of selected social mentors was gathered to realize the Orientation Module in Pogradec from 12th to 14th October. We've gathered a team of 10 professionals who will be trained to be experts in mentoring and ready to empower these women and girls. This is just the first step, as it will be followed by four additional modules and preparations in close collaboration with the very experienced creators of the social mentoring methodology, the organization "PUBLIC" from North Macedonia.

Our mission is clear - to help job seekers find and start jobs by boosting their self-confidence, improving their soft skills, and tackling those administrative hurdles. By providing the necessary support, we aim to bridge the gap between job seekers and providers.

This training is supported by the Regional Project on Social Inclusion of Disadvantaged Groups in the Western Balkans. GIZ Albania
