Launching the Study: “Assessing the Environment for Women’s Entrepreneurship in Albania”

"Albanian women lead – SHE LEADS"

On Monday, June 12, 2023, we had the pleasure to organize an important event! The Gender Alliance for Development Center launched its latest study, "Assessing the Environment for Women’s Entrepreneurship in Albania". Representatives of the Albanian government, business organizations, academia, the media, women and girl entrepreneurs, civil society organizations and legal and business experts participated in this event. We are happy that we were honoured with the participation of distinguished dignitaries such as Mrs. Belinda Balluku, Deputy Prime Minister of Albania, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Albania, Mr. Reinout Vos, and Mrs. Milva Ekonomi, Minister of State for Standards and Services.

This activity had the following main purposes:

To launch the research study: "Assessing the Environment for Women’s Entrepreneurship in Albania". Through facts and analyses, we have gained new and objective knowledge about this important topic.

To present the roadmap for women’s entrepreneurship development in Albania. We have introduced innovative strategies and ideas that aim to promote women’s growth and success in the business world.

To advocate for the commitment of the Albanian government to women’s entrepreneurship development and support. Collaboration between civil society, experts and local and central government is essential in order to create a favourable and equal environment for all women entrepreneurs.

To create a space for national and regional networking of women entrepreneurs. Through ties and collaboration, we will create new opportunities for the development and growth of women’s businesses throughout Albania, etc.

This activity was organized in the framework of the project: "She Leads – A project dedicated to Albanian women entrepreneurs", supported by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherland in Albania through the MATRA programme.
