Marketing strategies and the empowerment of business value chains for women entrepreneurs in Tirana

On March 16, 2023, the next training session took place at the Tirana Castle, after a series of capacity building trainings on marketing with women entrepreneurs in the Municipality of Tirana. This particular training focused on marketing techniques, strategies and components and was organized as part of the project "Women's Economic Empowerment through Gender Sensitive Value Chain Interventions".

The project is supported by the Gender Equity and Equality Action (GEEA) Fund of the Department of State and is implemented by the Gender Alliance for Development Center, and aims to empower women entrepreneurs in Tirana and increase their participation in the local business value chain.

During the training, participants had the opportunity to learn about marketing strategies, techniques and components, with a special focus on how to effectively promote their businesses to potential customers. Also, the concept of the business value chain from a gender perspective was introduced, emphasizing the importance of gender-responsive practices in promoting sustainable economic development.

Similar training sessions will be organized in the future with other groups of women entrepreneurs in Tirana, as part of ongoing efforts to promote women's economic empowerment and gender equality in the region.
