Training on Gender-Sensitive Value Chain and Marketing for Women Entrepreneurs in Tirana

09.03.2023: The "Gender Alliance for Development" Center, a non-governmental organization that works to promote gender equality and women's empowerment, has initiated a new project titled "Women's Economic Empowerment through Gender Sensitive Value Chain Interventions". The project is supported by the Gender Equity and Equality Action (GEEA) Fund of the Department of State and its main objective is to empower women entrepreneurs in the Municipality of Tirana by providing them with the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in business.

In the framework of this project, the Gender Alliance for Development Center has started organizing a series of field trainings for women entrepreneurs in the Municipality of Tirana. The first training took place on March 9, 2023 at Hotel Sokrat, with a focus on Marketing Techniques and Strategies and with a special emphasis on Digital Marketing and Online Media.

During the training session, women entrepreneurs were given a comprehensive overview of the project and the business value chain concept from a gender perspective. The trainers also discussed the importance of incorporating the principles of gender equality and equity into all aspects of running a business.

In addition, the women entrepreneurs collaborated with each other to create a typical marketing plan, including all the components necessary for a successful business. The training was highly interactive, with participants engaging in group discussions, case studies and practical exercises.

This training is only the first in a series of training sessions that will be held for other groups of women entrepreneurs in Tirana. The Gender Alliance for Development Center is committed to providing women entrepreneurs with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in business, as part of their broader mission to promote gender equality and women's empowerment.
