Promotion of the project “Women's Economic Empowerment through Gender Sensitive Value Chain Interventions”

On December 15, 2022, "Gender Alliance for Development" Center and Mirela Arqimandriti promoted the project "Women's Economic Empowerment through Gender Sensitive Value Chain Interventions" which deals with issues of gender equality and women’s economic empowerment. This project is supported by the Gender Equity and Equality Action (GEEA) Fund of the Department of State and by the United States Embassy in Tirana.

This event was attended by about 120 participants, women and girls entrepreneurs from Tirana, Berat, Korça, Durrës, representatives of business organizations, the Investment Council in Albania, the Albanian Investment Development Agency, the Academy, the Municipality of Tirana, the Vodafone Albania Foundation, GIZ, etc.

The event was honored by Her Excellency Mrs. Yuri Kim, Ambassador of the United States of America to Albania, and senior representatives of this embassy, as well as by Mr. Erion Veliaj, Mayor of Tirana Municipality, who greeted this event.

During the promotional event, a number of important issues were discussed regarding the sustainability of businesses and the challenges faced by women entrepreneurs in the conditions of climate change and the Covid-19 Pandemic.
