Trainings with healthcare service providers on responding to domestic violence cases

Healthcare professionals are often the first to discover if women have experienced violence by men, so it is important that doctors and nurses ensure that this is not a missed opportunity to refer patients to local women's organizations that support survivors of violence!

In this framework, GADC has organized trainings with representatives of the Health Centers of Tirana who were introduced to the Guidelines for healthcare providers as a response to cases of violence against women and domestic violence. We also discussed about the effective cooperation that healthcare providers should have with specialized women's support services as a response to cases of domestic violence.
