International ZERO Discrimination Day

While today we mark Zero Discrimination Day, on February 23 we had the pleasure, together with the Municipality of Tirana, to organize an informative meeting with employed women and girls of the Roma community, and discussed about gender-based discrimination in the workplace.

 

During this meeting, we shared with the participants information about the legal framework on gender-based discrimination in the labor market as well as how discrimination is dealt with in Albania.

 

In addition to the opportunity to report these cases through the green number 08001818, the participants were also introduced to the work of GADC regarding advances in the fight against discrimination.

 

These activities were supported by the EU and co-funded by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency.
