Presentation of the Action Plan for Equal Opportunities at the Albanian Railways Human Resources Office

Date: June 5, 2024  Place: Albanian Railways offices, Durrës.

At the Albanian Railways Headquarters in Durrës, we presented the Action Plan for Equal Opportunities, a decisive step towards promoting a more inclusive and equal workplace at Albanian Railways. The Human Resources team, together with the working group led by Mirela Arqimandriti, engaged in an in-depth discussion on the implementation of this plan. The aim of an action plan for equal opportunities for the Albanian railway sector is to create a fair, inclusive and diverse workplace where all employees have equal access to opportunities and resources, regardless of gender, race, ethnicity, disability, age, sexual orientation, or any other characteristics. 

During the meeting, the participants validated the action plan and its specific objectives:

  • Promoting diversity and inclusion
  • Eliminating discrimination and prejudice
  • Supporting the work-life balance
  • Ensuring accessible environments
  • The trainings and workshops plan related to the plan implementation 

This meeting was held in the framework of the project “Equal Opportunities in the Railway Sector in Albania and Skills Needs Assessment,” funded by EBRD (European Bank for Reconstruction and Development).
