Youth Engagement in Public Consultation for Local Governance - Workshop with Students of the Law Faculty

Nowadays, one of the main challenges faced by our societies is the responsible and effective involvement of young people in local decision-making processes. In this context, Gender Alliance for Development Center (GADC) organized a workshop with students of the Law Faculty of the University of Tirana, with a special focus on pubilc consultation and their engagement in local governance.

In this activity, an important platform was provided for young people to learn more about public consultation processes and their role as responsible citizens. The presentations and open discussions were held so that the participants could understand the importance of their voice and their impact in the designing of local policies.

This activity was organized in the framework of the project: “Strengthening Citizen Engagement in Local Governance”, which is supported by Olof Palmes Internationella Center and the Swedish Government and the National Endowment for Democracy, and is implemented by the POP ("Perballja e Ofertave Politike" - Juxtaposing Political Offers) network.
