Pre-Incubation in Pogradec: Promoting Start-ups and Young People’s Professional Development

On 15 December 2023 we were in the city of Pogradec, where an energetic group of girls participated in a training organized by GADC (Gender Alliance for Development Center). This training was held in the framework of the project: "Leaving the past behind: Building Resilience to violent extremism through support and education," which is being led by the Counseling Line for Women and Girls (CLWG) and is funded by the Global Community Engagement and Resilience Fund (GCERF).

The aim of this meeting was to encourage initiatives and develop professional skills in the field of start-ups, providing a clear perspective on utilizing business opportunities. The participants were introduced to the nature and purpose of the meeting, which also focused on the assessment of the current situation in education, the level of employment and young people’s professional skills.

During the training, participants received important information regarding the Youth Guarantee program led by the National Employment Agency. They had the chance to increase their knowledge and actively engage in this program, adding value to their personal and professional development.

The training in Pogradec also focused on the importance of dedication to developing innovation and start-ups, highlighting that this positive start will contribute to improving the economic and professional situation of young people in the city of Pogradec.

Following in the path of similar activities and previous trainings in Shkodra and Elbasan, this activity in Pogradec aims to help young people create innovative businesses and contribute to the improvement of society, countering violent extremism.
