Training on E-Commerce for women entrepreneurs

26.10.2023 The Gender Alliance for Development Center, in the framework of the project: "Women's Economic Empowerment through Gender-Sensitive Value Chain Interventions", in collaboration with the Albanian Investment Development Agency (AIDA), organized a training on e-commerce for women entrepreneurs, coming mainly from the handicrafts and hospitality-tourism sectors.

The project is supported by the Gender Equity and Equality Action (GEEA) Fund of the Department of State and the U.S. Embassy in Tirana. This project aims to improve women entrepreneurs’ access to the business market and empower them, by reducing the insecurities they face in developing their businesses.

The training was led by Greta Harapaj, who has a long experience in the e-commerce sector and has worked in all its different fields. During the training, the women were introduced to e-commerce concepts, the opportunities offered by online trade, success stories and the methods in which they can become part of online sales platforms. The women had the chance to work in groups and individually to determine and identify their business’s niche, in order to carry out online sales and be successful in reaching new customers and markets.
