Training with women entrepreneurs in Farka

29.09.2023

The Gender Alliance for Development Center has been implementing for months the project "Women’s Economic Empowerment through Gender-Sensitive Value Chain Interventions", which aims to address issues of gender equality and economic empowerment of women entrepreneurs in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic and climate change. Within the framework of this project, GADC is organizing a series of trainings with women entrepreneurs in different administrative units of Tirana, with the aim of improving women's access to the business market, empowering them and reducing the insecurities they face in developing their businesses.

The latest training took place on 29.09.2023 in Farka, where women entrepreneurs received knowledge on access to finance, budgeting, the value chain, and banking and insurance products. The participants were also provided guidance to help them make informed decisions and overcome barriers to business development.

The project is supported by the Gender Equity and Equality Action (GEEA) Fund of the Department of State and the U.S. Embassy in Tirana.
