Training with Women Entrepreneurs in Vaqarr

19.07.2023 Gender Alliance for Development Center is implementing the project "Women’s Economic Empowerment through Gender-Sensitive Value Chain Interventions", through which it aims to address issues of gender equality and the economic empowerment of women entrepreneurs in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic and climate change. The project is supported by Gender Equity and Equality Action (GEEA) Fund of the Department of State and the U.S. Embassy in Tirana.

This project is being implemented with the purpose of improving women entrepreneurs’ access to the business market, empowering them and reducing the insecurities they experience in the development of their businesses. In this framework, we are carrying out a series of trainings with women entrepreneurs in different administrative units of Tirana.

The latest training was held on 19.07.2023 in Vaqarr, where women received information on access to finance, budgeting, banking products, the value chain, and insurance products. In addition, they were provided information and guidelines to help them make informed decisions and overcome barriers to business development.
