Training with Women in Business from Administrative Unit no. 8, Tirana

22.06.2023 Gender Alliance for Development Center is implementing the project "Women’s Economic Empowerment through Gender-Sensitive Value Chain Interventions", in order to address issues of gender equality and the economic empowerment of women entrepreneurs in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic and climate change. The project is supported by Gender Equity and Equality Action (GEEA) Fund of the Department of State and the U.S. Embassy in Tirana.

The goal of the project is to improve women entrepreneurs’ access to the business market and to empower them, creating positive change, and to lower the level of insecurity that they experience.

On 22.06.2023, the latest training session was held in the administrative unit no. 8, with the participation of women in business and staff members from this unit. The training gave special focus to topics such as access to finance, budgeting, banking products, the value chain, and insurance products. The training provided information and guidelines to help women make informed decisions and overcome obstacles in business development.
