Training with Women in Business from Administrative Unit no. 7 in Tirana

Gender Alliance for Development Center is implementing the project "Women’s Economic Empowerment through Gender-Sensitive Value Chain Interventions" aiming to address issues of gender equality and women’s economic empowerment in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic and climate change.

The project is supported by Gender Equity and Equality Action (GEEA) Fund of the Department of State and the U.S. Embassy in Tirana.

Women face insecurities and obstacles to achieving economic success, which are also influenced by the pandemic and climate change.

The project aims to improve their access to the business market and empower them as entrepreneurs, creating positive change and serving as a source of encouragement and inspiration for women with entrepreneurial talent.

The main goal of the project is to economically empower women and reduce the level of insecurity that they experience.

The latest training session, which focused on sharing knowledge in the areas of access to finance, budgeting, banking products, the value chain and insurance products in order to help women make informed decisions and overcome obstacles in developing their businesses, was held on 02.06.2023, with the participation of women entrepreneurs from administrative unit no. 7, as well as experts.

In addition to trainings, the project promotes the creation of an encouraging environment for discussion and cooperation, allowing women to share their experiences, learn from one another, and develop innovative strategies in order to advance in the development of their businesses.
