The Platform for Reporting Violence Against Women in Politics

Women and girls must have the right to be part of the political process and to decide about our country’s future. But, in Albania, this is not always easy. Violence against women and girls in politics remains a serious problem affecting our democracy.

As an attempt to address this issue, the "Gender Alliance for Development" Center, with the support of the Westminster Foundation for Democracy and the British Embassy in Tirana, has created a website (https://stopvawp.al/) with a reporting mechanism that will collect data on incidents of violence against women during the 2023 local elections.

We invite you to visit our website and report incidents of violence against women in the 2023 local elections in Albania in two ways:

1. By reporting in the online form: https://stopvawp.al/formulari-online/

2. By calling the toll-free number: 0800 18 18

As activists for women's and girls' rights, we know how important it is for these voices to be heard and respected in politics. But to achieve this, we must ensure that women and girls are safe and protected from violence and abuse. Therefore, we invite you to join us in the fight against violence against women in politics in Albania.

By reporting incidents of violence and helping to prevent them, we can help change the culture of politics in Albania and promote a fair and equal society for all. So, join us in fighting violence against women in politics!
