Online meeting - Gender Budgeting at the time of the COVID-19 pandemic

May 11, 2021, Gender Alliance for Development Center, organized the online meeting on gender budgeting at the time of the Covid-19 pandemic. The event is organized within the project "Gender Budget Watchdog Network in Western Balkans and Republic of Moldova" supported by the Austrian Development Agency and SIDA.

The event was attended by representatives from the Ministry of Finance and Economy, representatives of central and local government, representatives of civil society, including women's rights organizations. The discussion was focused on the findings and recommendations from the Gender Analysis of the 2020 state budget, the response to the Covid-19 pandemic, based on the national and international principles of gender equality adopted by Albania.

The recommendations were based on the findings of the ongoing implementation of the Albanian Government's emergency and reconstruction measures from the 2019 earthquake and the Covid-19 pandemic, taking into account the practical and strategic needs of women and girls and the principles of gender equality.
